My sister in law is expecting a baby girl in just a few weeks now! I had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful baby shower for her and baby Isabella last week and made this mini quilt as part of the decorations for the table. The mini can then be used as a wall hanging in baby's nursery!
The mini is 24 x 24 and made up of 6" pinwheels, 3 across and 3 down, and then given a pieced border for extra fun. So many cute fabrics to include!!
The mini quilt matched the darling banner hanging at the baby shower, made by sister in law, Kerri.
Isn't it darling? Kerri is also finishing up a beautiful quilt for baby Isabella that will match the mini and the banner. All of the lovely fabrics are available in Kerri's Etsy shop, Sew Deerly Loved. The fabrics included a mix of Japanese Imports, Darla by Tanya Whelan and Nicey Jane by Heather Bailey, in case you are interested! The white used is Kona Cotton in Snow.
This fabric is one of my favorites! Look at that sweet little bunny!
Well, for now I need to clean my kitchen, but hopefully some sewing will be happening too! I have some things I want to make for Ava.
Like some of these from this Etsy shop, Romeo & Me :
I'm thinking of using some aqua and white polka dot fabric though. Hmmm.. I might have to make a couple pairs. I can't wait!
I also just purchased this pattern from this website!
Oh the fabric possibilities!!!
Have a wonderful day!
