Hi All! I've missed being here in my little space for a few weeks! Even though I've been peeking in on blog-land here and there, I've felt so out-of-it.
No, I am not at the above location. It's just me dreaming.
Truth is, I've been working like a mad-woman on a little secret I've had in store for a bit now. You see, I'm sort of one of those 'Don't count your Chickens before they hatch' kind of gals, and it hasn't hatched yet, so my lips are sealed!
I've been super busy though....like busier-than-i've-ever-been-in-my-life' kind of busy. Like exhausted out of my mind kind of busy. Like I have wa-a-a-ay too much laundry to do kind of busy.
Like I'm dreaming of THIS kind of busy:
Could you just imagine the peace, relaxation, and rejuvenation this would provide?
Oh ya....this is what I need!
Nope, No quilting, sewing or Farmer's Wifing for me.
Here are my poor sad lonely negleted shelves.
And this is about the extent of me using my fabric. Strawberry Whoppers have been stress relief!
But it's all been for a good reason that I hope to be sharing soon. And Really, I shouldn't be so whiney because I'm completely thrilled with what I'm doing. It's also a dream! I'm on artist overload, but should be totally worth the time and effort.
Thankfully the hubby is on light work mode and working at home so he's been able to be a big help, taking the kids places, doing errands and cooking or picking up dinners.
Not much else is going on except that we did have my neice and nephew here for 4 days, then today we sent my 2 oldest boys back home with them on the train, so they get a little adventure all together. Then we'll make the short drive to get our boys over the weekend. Just a fun thing for them to do.
Here they all are being strange teens. They refused to act normal for a picture. The pink and green T's are mine. (should I be admitting that?)
My boys asked me why they need a picture......I said for memories.
Wow. They sure made the best of it. They are super cute and super pains. It's a good thing I adore the stinkin heck out of them. Oh, a mother's love.
Do you have sassy teens? Do you have kids who were super sassy, then became super sweet? If so, please share! Give me hope!
Here's all the kids at Dairy Queen the other night. My son was dying to try the Nutter Butter Blizzard. (in case you are wondering, it was good) Once again, no photo cooperation whatsoever. And my niece was hiding.
We got a couple good stares.....they really all could legistically be ours as far as the ages, so we looked like quite the group! My parents had 7 so it put it in perspective for me.
This is what I ate and it made me happy.
My parents used to own a Dairy Queen when I was around my sons' ages, so it's a sentimental place to get a good treat for me. Those were some fun times for us kids and some crazy ones for my parents, but that's totally another story. Oh, the memories.
So, that's about all the excitement for now around here.
I better get back to working on my secret. (And my Strawberry Whoppers).
shhh. ;)

oh, p.s. all my beachy images were found on pinterest!
