First, I have to say a big gigantic THANK YOU to everyone who entered my very first giveaway, because you all wrote the sweetest, nicest, most thoughtful, wonderfully kind comments that absolutely boosted my spirits! Really, thank you SO MUCH! :) I am simply overjoyed and grateful and yes, blushing. ;)
Second, I have a funny to share. A few of you received some little convo's from me of a slightly desperate nature. You see, I thought that no one was entering my giveaway, as my comments were showing "0". "How could this be?" I thought. "No one wants to enter my contest, I can't even GIVE my things away. Poor me, how sad." So I convo'd some of my wonderful customers off etsy and asked for their help! Oh, you kind and lovely people that popped right on over and entered my giveaway and said the nicest things, Thank you! Thankfully, I received a tip from my flickr friend, HEATHER, (who btw has the cutest felt barrette tutorial that I plan on using immediately!) who told me that she entered my giveaway, but that her comment didn't show up! Hmmm....I thought (I do a lot of thinking), what's going on? So, I investigated and sure enough, there were lots of fabulous comments, all locked up as spam in my Typepad account!!! Why did this happen you wonder? Well, unfortunately, I have been subjected to some online unkindness. Not cool, I know. But sadly, it's true. My sweet hubby tried to protect me by blocking a commenter, but accidentally blocked ALL my comments! oopsy. We chuckled about the little mishap and fixed the settings and now all is well and wonderful. yay!!!! :)
AND NOW FOR OUR WINNER! The random generator number picker thing chose #13. That comment belonged to ULLA V. who said:
Lastly, but not leastly, about the pincushion. I saw these cutie ones on FLICKR, so I decided to make one too. Basically, they are a tiny little pillow. ANEELA, also has made the cutest heart shaped ones and has offered a tutorial on her COMPLETELY ENTERTAINING BLOG. This is on my list to make ASAP! I appreciate both these wonderfully talented ladies, who share so we can be inspired to create something lovely. These little pincushions are super easy and fast and would make perfect little gifties for the holidays. So, go make some...or just one! :)
